Yancey is medically sound, spayed, current on shots and microchipped. She is on a diet to help her gain weight (she is just about 30 pounds) and get her back where she should be.

*Coastal Pet Rescue adopted pets are microchipped through 24PetWatch. New pet parents are responsible for keeping their information accurate and up-to-date through the registry's free online system.

Yancey, as you can see, wasn't getting all she needed from her previous owner. She and her sister, Nancy, were confiscated, and her owner did get in some trouble. Nancy was quickly adopted, but Yancey was running out of time. With hours to spare, a good Samaritan arranged for a temp rescue pull then transferred her to Coastal Pet Rescue.

Yancey is a typical retriever and would do great in an active home with someone to play with, either other canines or children.

Adoption fees are $40 per feline and $150 per canine unless otherwise specified. Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
