Theresa - Female DSH
Rescued August 30, 2016
Hi, I’m Theresa! I am a sweet little girl looking for my very own human to love me. My foster mom says that I have one of the best purrs that she has ever heard, and that I love so unconditionally and affectionately that my future family will be very lucky indeed. I’m a low maintenance girl with a relaxed personality… I won’t annoy you like some cats will, but I do like to play! Some of my favorite things to do are: sitting in my foster mom’s lap and “kneeding” her legs, chasing after toy balls or pens or crinkled up pieces of paper (I’m not too picky), and just watching the birds outside my window. I am only about a year old, but potential adopters keep passing me by (maybe because I’m not as small and squiggly as a tiny kitten?)
Theresa was found living all by herself in the woods when she was a little under a year old. She was clearly extremely hungry and a bit malnourished, but it was obvious that she wasn’t a feral cat. She seemed very comfortable with humans from the start (we think she must have been abandoned by her first owners). After spending her “stray hold” at animal control, she took her freedom ride with Coastal Pet Rescue. She is currently enjoying having all the food and chin scratches that she wants in foster care, but she cannot wait until the day when she gets to meet her “fur”ever family!

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
