ChaCha

ChaCha - Female Chihuahua mix

Rescued April 25, 2016
Approximate age: 2 to 3 years old (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Low
Adult Size: X-Small (under 10 pounds)
Good with: Dogs

On April 25, 2016, CPR received 25 dogs from an elderly owner with cancer who was having to leave her home. None of the pets have ever seen a vet or been spayed or neutered. CPR has taken all in for first vet visits and shots and has started to get them spayed and neutered. They will do best in homes with patience and love as they have ever only known one caregiver and need time to build trust. Homes without children will be preferable.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
