Hi, I'm Scruffy!
I'm a bit unsure about people at times, but warm up with patience. I enjoy being included in "family time" and love to play with my foster siblings and toys. I've become a lap dog and super-duper face kisser!
I have the silliest bark and love to protect my foster's home from squirrels and other people who pass by, and love to watch what everyone is doing! I get along great with my foster siblings who are dogs. My foster mom hasn't tested me around cats so we don't know how I will react to them.

Scruffy is 1/2 of a bonded pair. He must be adopted together with Max 3. Click here to learn more about Max.

Heartworm Information:
Scruffy is Heartworm positive. Scruffy will have received a two month pre-treatment while with CPR. Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment. Read more about the methods of treatment here.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
