Adoption Inquiries
Coastal Pet Rescue does not operate a shelter. All our pets are in foster homes. Appointments to see pets may be made once an adoption application has been completed and reviewed.
Please do not send us an email asking us if a pet is available. All pets are listed on our website, and the information is updated daily. Pets that have adoptions pending will have a note at the top of their profile page. If you are interested in a pet with litter mates, please include a second choice as we review applications in the order they are received, and your choice may already have an application pending review.
If you have specific questions regarding adoption, please review our Adoption FAQ page as most all questions have been answered there. Due to the high volume of emails received each day, you will get a faster response from our FAQ page.
Placing an Animal with Coastal Pet Rescue
We can offer you placement assistance if you must rehome your current pet(s). All pets must be current on vaccinations and spayed or neutered before considered for placement assistance. You will need to submit a surrender form first. We will contact you if we have a foster home available or to let you know the next steps for placement assistance. Out of area rescuers, groups and shelters: please note that our space is limited. We primarily rescue in the coastal empire Savannah and lowcountry South Carolina areas (Savannah, Hinesville, Fort Stewart, Richmond Hill, Statesboro, Bluffton, Hilton Head and Beaufort). Due to difficulties with transportation and care logistics, we are unable to take pets outside of these areas. Please visit Petfinder.com to find other rescues in your area.
Lost & Found Pets
If your pet is missing or you have found a lost pet, please review our Lost and Found page for procedures. Please do not use the "Animal Abuse/Neglect" selection on the contact form for these issues.
Feral Cats
If you are in need of assistance regarding feral cats in your neighborhood, or have questions about feral cats and trapping, please visit The Milton Project's website for more information.
All Other Inquiries
Please use the form below. Please be sure to select the appropriate department for your inquiry. You need only send one email as your email will be routed to the individual to best handle your reply. Please do not send us multiple emails of the same content to different departments. This only increases the time it takes us to give you a response.
