Bear Cub Scouts Critter Care Day

Time: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Location: Camp Pawsawhile Retreat

Come spend the day at Camp Pawsawhile and learn from our seasoned volunteers and staff all about critter care to help you earn your Critter Care belt loop. Scouts will tour Camp Pawsawhile, shadow our team, and be able to ask questions and learn how we care for animals in a shelter environment.

Cost of the afternoon is $10 per Scout to cover materials. Registration is required in advance and is non-refundable. This event is limited to 10 Scouts per session. Scouts should wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. Scouts should bring a water bottles that may be refilled.

Parents will need to remain on site with their Cub during the program.

Pre-Requisite: Cubs will need to bring their logs showing that they have cared for a pet at home for two weeks. (Download log here.) Cubs that do not have pets at home will be given the opportunity to provide care at the end of program to one pet in order to meet the full requirements.

Cubs who complete the program will be awarded a certificate and belt loop on site.
