Coastal Pet Rescue Celebrates Record 300 Rescues in Seven Months

(Savannah, GA) - August 03, 2015

To say that Coastal Pet Rescue volunteers have been busy this year is an understatement.

Since January, the organization has rescued 220 canines and 80 felines, bringing the seven month total to 300 pets. In 2014, the group rescued 263 the entire year.

Coastal Pet Rescue prides itself on being a full-service rescue, seeing all pets through the rescue process to successful adoptions one at a time. All pets rescued through Coastal Pet Rescue are given vaccinations, treated for any illnesses such as skin infections, dry eye, ear mites, heartworms, etc., and then spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.

With the influx of animals comes a need for donations. Monetary donations may be sent to PO Box 30462, Savannah, GA 31410 or made online at http://coastalpetrescue.org/donate.

Families looking to add a new four-legged (or even three-legged) can see available pets online at http://coastalpetrescue.org/adopt or attend any of these August adoption events:

August 8th at the Dog Days of Summer on River Street
August 12th and 16th at PetSmart on Abercorn
August 22nd at TailsSpin in Pooler
August 30th at the Sand Gnats Bark in the Park
