Coastal Pet Rescue out to Get $50,000 for Homeless Pets

(Savannah, GA) - May 04, 2015

Starting at 12 pm ET today, Coastal Pet Rescue begins its quest in the Saving Pets Challenge, a fundraising campaign launched by Michelson Found Animals.

To give back, Michelson Found Animals will be donating over $115,000 to benefiting animal welfare organizations dedicated to decreasing shelter pet euthanasia. The organization that raises the most during the Challenge will get a $50,000 donation to their cause. Second place gets $20,000, third gets $10,000, fourth gets $7500 and fifth place gets a $5000 donation.

Coastal Pet Rescue is participating in the challenge in an effort to increase donations for its new shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat. In 2015, the group has already rescued 139 canines and 30 felines from local animal controls and owners who could no longer care for them. With the opening of Camp Pawsawhile Retreat, Coastal Pet Rescue hopes to more than double their intakes and adoptions.

To make a donation, donors need to visit the official fundraising page online at https://www.crowdrise.com/cpr-savingpets2015/fundraiser/coastalpetrescuesav
