Coastal Pet Rescue Record-Breaking Year Continues with 300th Canine Rescued

Bryan is Coastal Pet Rescue 300th canine of 2015

(Savannah, GA) - September 23, 2015

Records are made to be broken, and the volunteers of Coastal Pet Rescue are doing all they can to shatter the ones set in 2014.

Today, the all-volunteer non-profit organization gave a freedom ride to the 300th canine of the year, a 9-month-old mix named Bryan, who had been sitting at Bryan County Animal Control in Richmond Hill.

In 2014, Coastal Pet Rescue took in 217 canines and 46 felines. In addition to the 300 canines this year, Coastal Pet Rescue has saved the lives of 98 felines.

To faciliate veterinary expenses for rescuing more pets this year, Coastal Pet Rescue has launched a GoFundMe campaign: http://gofundme.com/cprneedsyou.

Coastal Pet Rescue will have adoption booths at the Effingham Oktoberfest this Friday and Saturday and the Responsible Dog Ownership Day in Daffin Park this Sunday.

Coastal Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats in Savannah and surrounding areas. Founded in February 2003, Coastal Pet Rescue changes the lives of homeless pets in Chatham, Bryan and Effingham Counties through its foster home program and small capacity shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat.
