Help Our Pets Meet Their Future Families

Coastal Pet Rescue’s adoption and community events give our animals a chance to get out, meet new people, and find the loving homes they deserve. These events would not be possible without volunteers who are willing to share their time, energy, and love for animals.

Whether you are comfortable handling animals, enjoy talking with people, or prefer helping behind the scenes, there is a place for you on our events team. No special experience is required for many roles. We will help you understand what to do and make sure you feel prepared.

How Event Volunteers Help

  • Depending on the event, volunteers may:
  • Help set up tables, supplies, crates, and event materials
  • Welcome visitors and share information about Coastal Pet Rescue
  • Introduce potential adopters to available dogs and cats
  • Handle animals during adoption events
  • Transport shelter pets to and from events
  • Assist with fundraising or community sponsorships
  • Help clean up and break down the event

Even a few hours of your time can make a real difference. A friendly conversation, a safe ride, or a little extra attention may help one of our pets make the connection that leads to a forever home.

Adoption Events

Coastal Pet Rescue regularly participates in adoption events throughout the Savannah area. These events allow members of the community to meet our animals in a welcoming environment while learning more about adoption, fostering, volunteering, and supporting local rescue efforts.

Volunteers help our pets feel comfortable and help visitors have a positive experience. You may be the person who introduces a family to their new best friend.

Twinkle Bark Stroll

Each December, Coastal Pet Rescue hosts the annual Twinkle Bark Stroll at our shelter. Preparations begin in November as volunteers help decorate and create a festive experience for our guests.

During the event, volunteers greet visitors, assist throughout the shelter, and help introduce guests to the pets waiting for homes. It is a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the season while supporting animals in our community.
