Abbie (Hazel) I recently sent Hazel's Foster Mom an email update. I think I'd like to share that with you as part of our success story.

First off, We changed her name from Hazel to Abbey. I have to tell you, she is a character! She has such a personality about her. I think she is really super intelligent, but so much so that she likes to "play dumb" sometimes! We have more laughs with her! She's settled right in with my Chihuahuas. For days they all would growl and bark at her unsure of who or what she was and why she was here, but eventually, one by one, I noticed them all starting to rough house and play with her.

One of the very first times she went outside, she managed to find an area of the ground where we have a leaking pipe in our sprinkler system. My husband and I were sitting on the porch talking and I looked up to see where she was and my mouth fell open. I called her to come back in and this is what we got!

Needless to say, that got my husband to fix that leaky pipe a little more quickly!
