Update February 6 2008
Deuce We adopted Deuce in November, 2007, and he immediately became a treasured member of our family. Deuce appears to be a white shepherd - yellow lab cross about a year - year and a half old and exhibits many of the good characteristics of both breeds. He is a sweet fellow who has not yet been heard to growl or show other signs of ill-temper. He loves to run and to play with other dogs. Although he was well house-broken upon arrival, he was a bit lacking in the basic social graces required of an indoor dog. We have worked hard to train him and he has proved to be a good student. He will now walk on a leash in a civil manner, has mastered the basics of sitting, staying, etc. All bets are off, however, if he spots a deer during our walks off-leash (I think that must be covered in the ADVANCED class).

Deuce is healthy, has filled out from about 56 to 69 pounds over the last three months, and seems as happy as a dog could be.

Our thanks to Coastal Pet Rescue for finding Deuce and bringing us a marvelous companion.
