Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Evie

Adopted: November 30, 2003
Rescued: October 8, 2003

Evie was found in September after almost being hit by a car in Beaufort. Her finder attempted to track down her owner via her rabies tag, only to find he had been deployed for quite some time and the tag actually belonged to another dog. After waiting several weeks on the caretaker to claim her, Evie was turned over to Coastal Pet Rescue to be spayed and prepared for a permanent home.

Update December 19 2003
Evie At Evie's tender age of two and my not so tender age, she may well be the last dog I have. I would however, if the opportunity arises, after having this experience, always adopt a "foundling." She is without a doubt, the sweetest, at times funniest, and always most well-behaved little girl. I can't imagine why, but am thankful that she was previously lost and ultimately "unwanted." We make a perfect fit. She's found a forever home and is already a much loved companion. I have spoken of your agency to many of my friends. Good luck to you. -- Leslie

Update May 22, 2004
I just thought I would let you know that little Miss Evie is doing great! She has me potty trained...it didn't take too long. Evie has also become much more independent and is a very confidant little girl. Nothing much intimidates her. I have a Great Dane and Boxer mix living with me for a while...she let them both know who was the big queen of this little castle. Thanks again...I couldn't be happier with her. -- Leslie
