Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Fluffy Jo

Adopted: September 26, 2005
Rescued: September 25, 2005

A family was looking for a cat for their son, Christian, who has ADD. They wanted an adult cat. There was a very sweet mother cat at Animal Control that seemed especially calm and friendly. Coastal Pet Rescue really wanted to get her out, but couldn't unless there was a home for her.

Update July 27 2006
Fluffy Jo Fluffy Jo has been great for us. We all love her and even my husband who isn't much of a cat person has taken to her. She's veryindependent. She definitely owns US. This for my son is just such a challenge. He loves that she has a mind of her own and does silly things. He gets a lot of enjoyment out of watching her chase bugs or play fetch. Yes she does play fetch like a dog. She has a white mouse that she loves and will bring to us. We throw..she chases and brings it back to you. I don't know if anyone ever actually told her she was a cat.

But she plays with Christian as well as chases his cars around.. she also steals bottle caps and small items. She tried my cell phone but couldn't carry it. She does take my hair ties.. tried to get my wedding band and takes off with my bookmarks. She's also had our pet fish in her mouth once..but she didn't kill it. Just took it out so she could taste it apparently. She dropped it when I caught her..and apparently Bart the Betta is no worse for wear. - Michelle
