Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Georgia

Adopted: August 30, 2009
Rescued: March 3, 2009

Poor little Georgia. Before her rescue, she didn't even have a name let alone someone to care about her well being. She had been used to produce puppies like the ones you see sold at the flea markets. She is emaciated, has some permanent fur loss, eye infection, and heartworms. Her skin infection requires weekly medicated baths and her spay is going to be a complicated surgery thanks to the poor care she received during previous litters. She also needs several root canals. As she has such poor teeth, she can only eat canned food.

Just a update on our baby girl. She is doing great! These are pics i took after our walk around the lake. Yesterday we walked around it four times. We are building her muscles back up. when she needs to go out she stands up and wags goes to the door and back to me. She is so smart. In the morning she talks to us to let us know she is hungry it is kind of a woo woo woo sound . It is so precious!! She loves people. yestereday she met some of our neighbors and there dogs. She is a social butterflly. When we brought her home i have been making her a bed and the leftover cloth i had is pink and fluffy and she likes the cloth leftovers better than the bed itself. This morning she tried to get the crabs around the lake. She stuck her nose in the hole and blew like she was blowing there house down. She likes the cranes and jumping fish. She has adjusted better than we could have expected. She has a forever home with us and we are keeping routine like huskies like. I will keep you posted on her progress and thank you for taking such great care of her we both appreciate it and I will try to send video of her dance she does in the morning when we all get up together. Love Dawn , Eric, and Ty-Ohni ( native american for wolf)
