Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Honey

Adopted: August 22, 2003
Rescued: July 19, 2003

Coastal Pet Rescue got 10-year-old Honey July 19 from a shelter in Jacksonville. She was treated for skin infection and ear mites. It took 2 groomers nearly a week to get all the mats off her as well. She came to us full of love and energy and the desire to have a wondeful home of her own. Honey found a home in August with a wonderful couple that had just returned from serving with the military in Iraq.

Update October 5 2003
I just wanted you to know that Honey is doing great. We went to the vet the other day to get her microchiped. She did very well. Honey is getting to know her new schedule well. She did find away to escape from the back yard the first week she was here. She ended up over at the neighbors for a vist. She is doing well with becoming friends with our friends dogs. Aaron and I are both so pleased that we have Honey as a new family member. Our brother (who does not like dogs) said if he could find a dog just like Honey he would get one. Well I shall keep you up to date on how she is doing. Thanks once again for letting us adopt Honey she's the greatest. -- Mandy

Update January 17, 2004
Hi Lisa! I just wanted to give you an update on how Honey has been doing. She has been doing great and has been getting spoiled rotten. I have been working nights and seeing that there is hardly anyone there I bring her in with me. She can't wait to go for the next car ride. I am very glad that she loves car rides so much. We are going to go on a road trip to see the Grandparent. I think they will spoil her even more then we do. They got her the cutes Christmas stocking full of dogie treats. I was shocked how ever that she liked them. She has been get spoiled with her choice of treats. Aaron has crumbled under Honeys charm. He now puts her up on the bed. Mind you at first she was forbidden to get on the furniture. She now has both of us wrapped around her little paw. Thank you again for saving Honey and letting us adopt her, she really has brighten up our life. -- Aaron & Mandy
