"Tigger" was adopted in June after the death of our beloved 9 yr. old retriever mix. We were skeptical that we'd be able to find another dog that was as perfect as our last, but we've definitely found it in Tigger. We renamed him "Hooper" which he responded to within a couple of days. He's such a sweet, loving boy. He follows us from room to room and only begs for love. When we first brought him home, we quickly realized that he'd never seen stairs and we live in a two story house! After just a couple of days, he became a pro at the stairs. He also initially received his Coastal Pet Rescue name of "Tigger" because he jumped around like crazy on a leash. Our first few attempts at leash training were frustrating as he sat his rear-end down and refused to budge. I'm happy to say that now he gets excited when we ask him if he'd like to go for a walk! He's by nature a bit of a lazy dog which we appreciate as we have a Jack Russell Terrier that has NEVER been lazy! He can now sit, shake, and lay down on command and we're working on others since he appears to be a fast learner. We've seen him transform from a very timid, skeptical dog into a fun-loving, happy, and confident puppy. He truly brings joy to our family! Thank you Coastal Pet Rescue for saving our Hooper from the animal shelter!
