Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Maggie

Adopted: July 2, 2006
Rescued: June 27, 2006

Rescuing Maggie was like finding a diamond in the rough! This precious Mainecoon mix was seen in the grass alonside the Islands Expressway. It's hard to believe that this 1 lb. kitten survived the ordeal. She was first given the nickname "Crab Cat" -- as she arose from nothing but marsh! She was covered in dirt and very hungry. Two baths later, her rescuer realized what an especially beautiful kitten they had stumbled upon.

Maggie

When Maggie first joined our family last summer, she was quite timid, but quickly took to our other "furry baby," Emma. The two love to snuggle and play! And Maggie eventually warmed up to us, as well. Though she is far from being the "lap cat" that Emma is, she certainly loves attention, and is quite the talker at meal time! One of Maggie's favorite leisure activities is chilling out in the window upstairs, soaking up the sun, while her gorgeous, fluffy tail flutters in the breeze! What a graceful little lady! We are just delighted to have such a sweet, beautiful addition to our family! -Jamie
