Max came to Coastal Pet Rescue as a foster for the Humane Society of Chatham-Savannah. He had many self esteem issues that needed some attention before he could be adopted. He had been adopted twice already, and both homes weren't prepared for him. After two months with Coastal Pet Rescue, Max found a wonderful home with a military couple that was relocating to the area.

Update July 27 2003
Max is doing wonderful! He has adjusted to his new life, although now that my wife has moved in full time, he is even happier. He gets along with the cats very well, although they have to show him who's boss every once in while when he gets too excited. We have a little cabin in the mountains and he loves to go "swimming" in the river (actually he just plops down and enjoys sitting there.) -- Darren
