Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Porshe (Portia)

Portia was living with a family who couldn’t keep her (they originally named her "other" as in "the other dog"), She was turned over to Coastal Pet Rescue and placed in a foster home.

My husband and I talked about getting a companion for out dog, Ellie,because she is a very spirited dog and wore us out wanting us to play with her all the time. We had not even started looking for a dog yet, but when did, we really wanted to get one from a pet rescue organization. My husband just happened to have the TV on one of the local news shows and heard them mention Coastal Pet Rescue and give an e-mail address. I looked at pictures of all the dogs on the website & immediately fell in love with Portia. I just knew she was the dog for us, so we went to see her the next day. Even though Ellie didn't respond to her right away, I decided I had to take her home anyway. She fit in with our family right away. Ellie was a little jealous at first, but she and Portia were playing together by the second day that we had her. Within a week, they really started to like each other & now they are inseparable.

Portia is a full member of the family now. Our 2 sons love her very much and I can't imagine not having her here. Portia is a beautiful, smart & obedient dog. This has been a totally positive experience for us & I think Portia is also very happy here!!
