“QUINCY AND THE PIZZA DELIVERY GUY….LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!”

When the spunky little Manchester Terrier “Quincy” greeted the Pizza Delivery Guy at the door, he never suspected that he was jumping up on his future owner! Josh struck up a conversation with Jenni, Quincy's Foster Mom for Coastal Pet Rescue, about what a sweet, loving dog he was. She agreed and said that everyone who met him adored the little clown, and then she commented that he was up for adoption. Josh went home that night and told his parents and brother about the encounter he'd had that evening with Quincy. About 2 months before, Josh's family had to put the oldest of their 4 dogs to sleep because of ill health, and the family was feeling the loss.

Sharon, Josh's Mom, looked up Quincy on the Coastal Pet Rescue's adoption web-site, and then began the easy application process by Internet. Several e-mails later, the Coastal Pet Rescue folks visited the Palmer family at their Tybee Island house to make sure that Quincy was going to be placed in a good home as an indoor dog, but with ample opportunities for walks and outdoor time in a fenced yard. Next, a meeting was arranged at Tybee's Jaycee Park for Jenni and Quincy to meet his future family, including 3 very excited dogs, Buster, Shima, and Jumper. It was a good opportunity to see how all the dogs would interact with each other, and that was very successful, particulary for Jumper, who instantly began to tumble and play with Quincy. They are the best of buddies now! As for the Palmer family, all of them are impressed by the sincerity of the Coastal Pet Rescue people in their efforts to place their pets with homes and families that will love and treat them well. Like the pizza delivered that night, Quincy found a good home!
