Coastal Pet Rescue Successful Adoption Story: Savannah

Adopted: July 10, 2003
Rescued: June 19, 2003

Savannah was left by her owners at Shady Pines kennel after they decided to move and not take her with them. Shady Pines offered to board her after contacting us to help with placement. A few weeks later, she found a wonderful home with a woman from Charleston.

Update July 16 2003
What a great dog we have! She is fitting in well in both my house and at Mom's. She doesn't seem to respond to her name very well, but when we get her attention she is so eager to please. She didn't eat too much the first day or two, but no problem now. I took her to the vet and got her weighed and bought a tick collar that we've had good luck with in the past. I have signed up for 'companion dog' training starting in August. The trainer uses a variety of methods including a clicker. Thank you so much for all your efforts in helping Savannah join our family - the prompt e-mails you sent to me, sending the vet record, waiting such a long time while we were stuck in traffic, etc. Savannah is great company and entertains us so well chasing her tail, throwing her tug rope, and being shocked every time she passes in front of Mom's full length mirror! Thanks again. -- Barb
