Update March 5 2007
Sparky We were so blessed to be able to adopt Sparky last June! Bryna from Coastal Pet Rescue was wonderful and helped with Sparky's adoption. Our children laughed as Sparky had to be lifted in the house (not sure that, indeed, he was allowed in the house). He adjusted beautifully as he realized that he not only was allowed in the house, but would have his own chair to sit in in the living room.

Two days after we got Sparky, we got a phone call that my husband's mother had a brain-stem stroke. We left right away to travel to Pennnsylvania to be with her and his family. Sparky stayed at the house with our 3 children, ages 9, 7, and 5 and my parents. He was a source of comfort to the children as they prayed for the healing of their grandmother.

Sparky is the best dog ever! He gets so excited when we come home from an errand or when my daughter comes home from school. I home school my other two children still and Sparky loves it that we are home all day! He loves to lay in the middle of us if we are reading our school work by the fire. He jumps on the couch with us and snuggles right in as we are doing our reading. His favorite things to do are playing chase around the sofa, going for walks in the park, and hiding underneath the kitchen table waiting for someone to accidentally drop food at meals! He is part of our family and we love him dearly! We are very thankful for Coastal Pet Rescue! -Gina
