Sky 2

Sky 2 - Female Husky

Rescued September 26, 2017
Approximate age: 8 months old (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: High
Adult Size: Large (50 to 75 pounds)
Special Needs
Good with:

Newly graduated from Operation New Hope; a multi-week training where I helped rehabilitate an inmate – and he helped me learn basic commands – I’m ready to find my own family.
I’ll need one experienced with Huskies that can continue my training, and make sure I don’t get bored and restless. I'll also need a secure, fenced in yard with lots of room to run around and play.
I need a family with no children or small animals, and a slow, introduction to another large dog would be best.

Operation New Hope:
This pet has completed a multi-week training with Operation New Hope, a partnership with Chatham County Sheriff’s Office to give unadoptable dogs in our community a second chance and help rehabilitate inmates in the Chatham County jail.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
