Loretta

Loretta - Female Domestic Short Hair

Rescued December 07, 2022
Approximate age: 4-6 Months (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Moderate
Adult Size: X-Small (under 10 pounds)
Good with:

If you’re looking for a super sweet and cuddly cat, Loretta could be the girl for you because she’s ready to find her furever home.
She’s a bit shy at first but coming out of her shell more and more. She is getting used to being picked up (even though it’s still not her favorite thing she will tolerate it for a little longer than she use to). Actually, once she’s settled in and comfortable, Loretta can be quite the cuddly cat – on her terms of course. She’ll jump up on the bed with you and cuddle like nobody’s business – and she gives the cutest nose bumps on your face to let you know how much she loves you.
She’s pretty low-key – not your typical hyper bouncy kitten – but she does love to play with all kinds of toys, strings and her favorite toy, “Shrimpy.”
Have to go to work? That’s o.k. Loretta is perfectly content spending the day watching the squirrels and birds from the window until you get home, or napping with the other cat in her foster home.
Loretta still isn’t sure what to make of the dogs in her foster home. She sits on the other side of the baby gate to watch them, but would still probably prefer a home without them – or maybe a low energy dog that respects her space. She would probably do better in a home with adults rather than kids, because she is skittish about people moving too fast.
She does love the other cat in her foster home, even grooming him when he’ll let her. She likes being near him and they’re often laying/cuddling together, so she would probably love a home with another cat who would let her buddy up to them.
Loretta can’t wait to find her new home, so if you’re looking for a super sweet, low key and cuddly cat, don’t wait to submit an application to meet her.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
