King Blanco - Male American Staffordshire Terrier

King Blanco expects to be treated like a king and requires the following:

• Morning hugs and stretches
• At least 30 minutes of tug of war per day
• Lots of balls to chase after and Kongs to chew on
• An area to run full speed
• A window with a view 
• A 30 minute walk per day
  If you must miss a day, that is fine, he is understanding.

In exchange, he is willing to offer a new family:

• Unlimited cuddles
• Unlimited kisses
• Will never leave your side
• Company while you watch TV
• Help with the dishes
• Learn new tricks
• Eat all of those extra dog treats you have laying around
• Generally be a good boy

If you are open to accepting King Blanco’s requests, he would be happy to have you as his new family! He’s happy to live in a house with other dogs as long as appropriate introductions are made and they’re both supervised as King settles into his new family. We would advise against young children and small dogs as he doesn’t understand his own strength. With being deaf, he can’t hear you when you tell him stop as he’s having a case of the zoomies. Older kids would probably get along well with him because he is very accepting and eager to please.

He learns very fast! He knows how to ring bells to ask to go outside and push a doorbell to ask to come back inside. He came to us with poor leash skills but his leash training has been going beautifully! He now looks up to you while on a walk and only pulls on the leash rarely.

We are still working on his self-control when he sees something super interesting so he’ll need someone strong enough to handle him and correct him when need be, but he has come leaps and bounds and is super eager to please his people, especially when there are treats involved.

And ...... King Blanco is deaf. He needs a family that will be willing to learn some signs to communicate with him. He currently knows the following signs. Don’t worry, his foster will work with you to teach you these!
