If Play Hard / Cuddle Hard were a dog motto, then Leia could be the poster child.
This girl is a big bundle of love and joy! Whether it is adults, children, or even cats, she is always overflowing with an abundance of love and happiness to share with everyone!
Leia is just a happy girl who loves everyone and is very active and energetic. She gets very excited when she gets a chance to play with other dogs. She tends to be a little resource protective of toys and plays pretty assertively with other dogs. A single dog home is probably her best bet.
Her favorite thing to do is run fast and play fetch, and there’s no tennis ball she won’t eventually get to. She is very athletic and can jump very high; her playfulness is quite appealing, and a privacy fence is a must. This active girl would be a great forever friend to a family with older children (she's a little too rough and tumble for small children) or a person who would like to have her as a jogging partner.
Leia craves love and attention, enjoys snuggling and adores getting her belly rubbed. She loves treats, especially deer antlers and bones! Anything she can chew on makes her a happy puppy! She is house-trained and crate-trained but would much rather sleep with you.
Because she wants to play, she sometimes takes more interest in cats than they prefer, but she’s learning (thanks to a spray bottle), to leave them alone when she becomes overbearing for them.
Leia has lots of puppy energy, craves interaction and will need someone who can spend a good amount of time with her, so if you’re looking for a life-time companion and BFF, don’t wait to submit an application to meet her.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
