Pepper

Pepper - Male Domestic Short Hair

Rescued March 27, 2023
Approximate age: 1 Year (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Low
Adult Size: Small (10 to 25 pounds)
Good with:

Poor Pepper has been with us for just over a year now. We can’t understand why because he is an incredibly outgoing and affectionate cat who will capture your heart from the moment you meet him.
He is a very sweet boy who just wants to follow you around. He thrives on attention and loves nothing more than being petted and snuggled. Pepper isn't shy about letting you know when he wants more love - his purrs and nudges will keep you engaged and entertained, and if that doesn’t work, he’ll just lay on the top of your head.
While Pepper tolerates his feline roomies, he can be a bit jealous of them too. Ideally, if he can’t be your one and only, he would at least appreciate another chill and laid-back cat that will respect his space, and his need for you.
He didn’t seem to mind the dogs in his foster home barking in the other room and seemed interested when having glances of them on the other side of the door. So maybe a more even-tempered canine pal could work for him. Of course, we always recommend slow and monitored introductions for any new pet.
If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will brighten your days, submit an application to meet Pepper and let’s see if we can warm your life with his warmth and affection.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
