Heidi

Heidi - Female Hound/Boxer Mix

Rescued March 03, 2023
Approximate age: 3-4 years (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Moderate
Adult Size: Medium (25 to 50 pounds)
Housebroken
Good with: Dogs Kids
Heartworm Positive

Poor Heidi wound up in animal control to deliver her last ever litter of puppies! She's now ready to find her own home and a special person! Heidi is a "velcro" dog - never more than a few feet from her person, the closer the better. She loves to snuggle in the chair or bed with her human. She is housebroken and does best if put on a leash and taken out, even if there is a fenced yard - the leash helps her focus on her business!. Heidi is very food motivated and can be very vocal around feeding time. She does well with other dogs, but seems a bit too interested in cats. Heidi is a very smart girl! She has shown that she can open a door handle and a dog food canister all by herself. Heidi is small for a boxer mix - she weighs 50 lbs and is smaller in stature than most boxers would be.

Heidi is also very strongly interested in cats, so a feline-free home is going to be best for her!

Heartworm Information:

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
