Opie - Male Orange Tabby Mix

Rescued September 11, 2024
Approximate age: 8 weeks (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Moderate
Adult Size: X-Small (under 10 pounds)
Housebroken
Good with:

Opie is the sweetest little orange boy that you'll ever meet.

He is skittish when you first meet, but warms up very quickly! He was sitting in his foster's lap, purring, within an hour of the first time they ever met.

He loves, in no particular order - scratches behind his ears, laying in your lap purring, being told how handsome he is, attacking your feet under the bed covers, talking to you to share his hopes, dreams, fears, all about his day, and to ask what time breakfast is. He also loves all hair ties ever created, helping you rearrange paperwork and punch holes in it for easy filing, and being carried around the house by his parents and human siblings. He is obssessed with laser pointers, squirrels, birds, and falling leaves.

He is not a fan of - when the laser pointer escapes him (again), people coming through the doorway loudly, forced hugs, empty food bowls, and dirty litter boxes. #standards

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
