Hakuna - Female Chiweenie

Rescued February 29, 2024
Approximate age: 11 Months (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Moderate
Adult Size: Small (10 to 25 pounds)
Housebroken
Good with: Dogs Cats

If you’re ready for a dose of cuteness in your life, then you’ll want to meet Hakuna. Hakuna came into rescue with her sister, Matata. (Lion King music in the background)

Hakuna a very “busy” girl - loves checking everything out, and trots around the back yard chasing bugs and the foster's pups. She’s met both neighbor dogs through the fence and was very friendly. She does bark at strange noises, but she’s easily settled. She snuggles like a champ at night, both on the couch and in bed. She has been crated during the day, and while she isn’t a big fan, she’s not exhibiting destructive behavior in there. Her photos don’t do her enough justice showing how adorable and beautiful she is!

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
