Cassie

Cassie - Female Wire Hair Terrier Mix

Rescued April 19, 2024
Approximate age: 6 weeks (at time of rescue)
Activity Level: Moderate
Adult Size: Small (10 to 25 pounds)
Good with:

Cassie is some kind of wire-hair terrier mix and is very much a social butterfly. She loves to leap around and play with her food or her toys. Cassie is too young to begin outside potty training (needs a few more shots), but she uses the papers in her pen well and is learning to use papers outside of her pen as well. Cassie's negative is that she is LOUD - it's hard to believe that such a little girl has that big voice! For that reason, an apartment is not going to be a good home for her. She loves other dogs and people (especially people). She can be pretty mischievous, so any existing pets would need to be able to tolerate a curious, playful puppy! We believe that Cassie will probably be 25-30 llbs when full grown.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. Some pets come to us already microchipped by other companies. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf (for AKC Reunite chips only).

Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.
