Adoptable Pets are Invading Tybee Island’s Pirate Fest

(Savannah, GA) - September 27, 2007

They aren’t coming to plunder treasure, but maybe steal hearts instead.

On Saturday, October 6, Coastal Pet Rescue’s adoptable crew will invade the Tybee Island Pirate Fest from 10 am to 6 pm in the Thieves Market (South End parking lot). Come meet rescued dogs, puppies and kittens looking to treasure your family and warm your home.

Families with full homes of pets can bring them out for low-cost microchipping. For just $10, pets can be reunited with their families if they become lost or end up in an animal control shelter. Microchipping will be available from 1 to 4 pm only. Pets must have proof of current rabies vaccination.

And while you’re there, don’t forget to shop for treasures for friends and family as 100% of proceeds raised from sales go right back to changing the lives of homeless pets.

Coastal Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats in Savannah and surrounding areas. Founded in February 2003, Coastal Pet Rescue changes the lives of homeless pets in Chatham, Bryan and Effingham Counties through its foster home program and small capacity shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat.
