Coastal Pet Rescue Announces Beaufort Low-Cost Microchip Clinic

(Savannah, GA) - May 31, 2007

Beaufort residents can save a drive to Savannah for low-cost, high-tech permanent identification for pets.

“We have had a number of Beaufort residents attend our microchip clinics this year,” says president and founder Lisa Scarbrough. “With the high cost of gas, we decided to bring the clinic to them, making the opportunity more available and cost-efficent, especially for households with multiple pets.”

The microchip clinic will be held June 16 from Noon to 3 pm at the Highway 21 Drive-In in Beaufort. Pets should be leashed or in carriers and have current proof of rabies vaccination.

For just $10, pets will be microchipped with a 24PetWatch microchip. There is no cost for updating information after registration, and 24PetWatch provides online tools to help reunite your pets when they get lost. Additionally, the chips can be read by any scanner at shelters, rescues and animal control facilities.
