Coastal Pet Rescue Awarded a One-Year Supply of PEDIGREE Dog Food

(Savannah, GA) - April 01, 2005

This past Valentine’s Day weekend PEDIGREE Food for Dogs held the Dogs Rule Adoption Drive to encourage would-be dog owners to adopt a dog from a shelter or breed rescue organization.

The adoption program was held to raise awareness of the plight of homeless dogs across the country.

To congratulate people who adopted a dog Valentine’s Day weekend and thank them for adopting from a shelter or breed rescue organization, PEDGIREE has donated a one-year supply of dry dog food to the first 1,000 people who adopted a dog as part of the program.

Additionally, to recognize the outstanding work of shelters and breed rescue organizations, PEDIGREE is donating a matching one-year supply of PEDIGREE dry dog food (for one dog) to each of the shelters where the first 1,000 adoptions took place.

Pops, a 9-week-old boxer mix puppy who had been turned over to Coastal Pet Rescue after his owner was arrested for cocaine distribution, was adopted on February 13th by a family in Atlanta.

His new family submitted the paperwork for the adoption drive, and, as a result, Coastal Pet Rescue was also awarded a one-year supply of PEDIGREE dry dog food for one dog.
