Coastal Pet Rescue Donates Pet CPR Mannequins to Savannah Red Cross

(Savannah, GA) - May 04, 2005

Coastal Pet Rescue has found a new way to help pets in need.

Coastal Pet Rescue has purchased two dog CPR mannequins and two cat CPR mannequins plus supplies so that the Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross may offer pet first aid and CPR classes locally.

“Some of our members were looking to go to other areas, even out of state, to get trained,” says Lisa Scarbrough, president and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue. “It just made sense that with all the rescue agencies in coastal Georgia and South Carolina that there should be classes offered locally, and we wanted to find a way to make it happen.”

The first class will take place on Monday, May 16th from 6 to 10 pm for Coastal Pet Rescue volunteers with a second class for the organization on Saturday, May 21st from 9 to 1. Classes will be open to the public starting in June.
