Coastal Pet Rescue Gift Wrapping at Barnes and Noble

(Savannah, GA) - December 01, 2006

Give your paws a break from wrapping this holiday and help homeless pets in your community.

Coastal Pet Rescue volunteers will be at Barnes and Noble in Oglethorpe Mall on Sunday, December 3 from 1 to 8 pm and on Wednesday, December 20 from 4 to 8 pm. Volunteers will wrap your gifts in exchange for donations to the organization’s Home 4 the Holidays fundraising campaign.

“My mom started me with gift wrapping as her version of ‘arts and crafts’ as a young child,” says Lisa Scarbrough, president and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue. “Now, I finally get to use these great skills to help our wonderful pets.”

Coastal Pet Rescue’s Home 4 the Holidays program began November 6th. The campaign seeks to increase adoption awareness of rescued pets during the holidays. To date, 16 pets have found new, loving homes through the campaign. With a recent increase of puppy and kitten intakes, many more are still looking for homes.
