Coastal Pet Rescue Presents Fourth Annual Cruise for Critters

(Savannah, GA) - June 27, 2007

Spend an afternoon on the water with good friends and good food to benefit homeless pets in our community.

“This is our biggest fundraiser each year,” says Lisa Scarbrough, Coastal Pet Rescue president. “All that is required is the want to have fun and spend an afternoon with others who support animal welfare efforts.”

The Sunday, September 9th cruise, sponsored by Capt. Mike’s Dolphin Tours, Electric Lemonade, Welch & Tetreault, LLC, and At Home Pet Sitters will be a three-hour sightseeing tour departing from Tybee Island at 2 pm. The cost of the cruise is $30 per person and includes Hors D’oeuvres, beverages and a commemorative T-shirt.

“Our efforts support our community, but we need our community to support our efforts,” says Scarbrough. “The funds raised from this event are used to get us through the fall, something we need very much as our intakes for this year have far exceeded all of 2006.”

Registration is required in advance as seats are limited. The cruise is open to all adults over 21; sorry, no pets. Additional business sponsorship opportunities are available. Registration and further information is available online at coastalpetrescue.org, by calling 912-351-4151, or at our July events with the Savannah Sand Gnats.
