Coastal Pet Rescue to Attend Adoption Training in Atlanta

(Savannah, GA) - March 27, 2007

With all the pets they are helping, Coastal Pet Rescue leaders are looking to learn some new tricks.

On April 20th, Coastal Pet Rescue president Lisa Scarbrough and foster coordinator Ashley Davis will attend Petfinder.com’s Adoption Options seminar in Atlanta. The duo will receive training to increase adoptions as well as providing medical care to foster pets.

“This is our opportunity to meet animal welfare professionals from other areas of the country and see what works for them,” says Scarbrough. “Our goal is to bring back new ideas to increase our successes.”

Additionally, Scarbrough and Davis will attend a special session related to Pit Bulls, how to prevent them from entering rescues and shelters and how to properly adopt them when they do.

Coastal Pet Rescue has graciously received donations from At Home Pet Sitters and Capt. Mike’s Dolphin Tours to attend the Adoption Options Training.

Coastal Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats in Savannah and surrounding areas. Founded in February 2003, Coastal Pet Rescue changes the lives of homeless pets in Chatham, Bryan and Effingham Counties through its foster home program and small capacity shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat.
