Heard Elementary School Students Give Big to Coastal Pet Rescue

(Savannah, GA) - April 03, 2008

Compassion is a lesson everyone should learn, and the students at Heard Elementary School are setting an example.

For the last month, Heard Elementary Beta Club students have been collecting needed items for the homeless dogs and cats in Coastal Pet Rescue’s programs.

“It always gives us hope to see children understand these pets need someone to care for them,” says Lisa Scarbrough, president and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue.

Scarbrough and a special friend will visit the students on Friday, April 4 at 2:00 pm to collect the items and thank the students.

For more information, please contact Lisa Scarbrough at 912-228-3538 or Kim Mercer at Heard Elementary at 303-6630.
