Heard Elementary Students Raise Funds for Homeless Pets

(Savannah, GA) - February 10, 2015

Students at a local elementary school are learning you are never too young to make a difference in your community.

On Friday, January 23, students at Virginia L. Heard Elementary “dressed down” to raise more than $477 for Coastal Pet Rescue as part of Girl Scout Troop 30200’s Brownie Take Action Project. The donations will be used to pay for veterinary care expenses of Coastal Pet Rescue’s pets.

Troop 30200 and Heard Elementary Academy principal Mrs. Sylvia Wallis will do a check presentation at the school at 4 pm on Wednesday, February 11 to Coastal Pet Rescue foster pets and volunteers.
