Jacob G. Smith Third Graders Donate to Coastal Pet Rescue for Third Year

(Savannah, GA) - March 22, 2006

Jacob G. Smith Elementary’s third grade classes once again held a dress down day fundraiser to benefit Coastal Pet Rescue, raising $400 for the organization’s activities.

“We are honored that the students chose us to benefit from their fundraiser three years in a row,” says Lisa Scarbrough, Coastal Pet Rescue president and founder.

Scarbrough, Coastal Pet Rescue volunteer Denise Winner-McKenzie, and Winner-McKenzie’s 8-year-old White Shepherd Aspen will visit the third graders on March 23rd at 2:30 pm for the students to present their donation.

Founded in February 2003, Coastal Pet Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected animals in the coastal areas of Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.
