Recipes Needed to Change the Lives of Homeless Pets

(Savannah, GA) - April 25, 2007

Your skills in the kitchen could be used to change the lives of homeless pets in our community.

This summer, Coastal Pet Rescue will release its first fundraising cookbook, Kibbles N Bites.

“This idea came from our volunteers who have created cookbooks in the past,” says Lisa Scarbrough, president and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue. “It’s something new for us, and we hope it will have a large appeal to the community.”

Recipe submissions are being accepted online at http://www.coastalpetrescue.org. The cookbook will include a section for pet recipes.

Additionally, Coastal Pet Rescue is accepting cover art submissions for the cookbook. The winner will receive a special prize pack and free copy of Kibbles N Bites. Artwork may be submitted by email or mail, and should be able to be sized to 5x7 inches.

Coastal Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats in Savannah and surrounding areas. Founded in February 2003, Coastal Pet Rescue changes the lives of homeless pets in Chatham, Bryan and Effingham Counties through its foster home program and small capacity shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat.
