Sadie Hawkins Sock Hop for Feral Cats

(Savannah, GA) - January 30, 2008

Tybee Island is overrun with feral cats, and its residents are dancing into action.

On Saturday, March 1st, a Sadie Hawkins Sock Hop will be held to benefit The Milton Project, Coastal Pet Rescue’s trap-neuter-return program for feral cats. The funds raised from the dance will go exclusively to efforts on Tybee Island.

The dance starts at 7 pm at the American Legion Post on Tybee Island. Entertainment will be provided by “Girlfriends” and professional DJ Barri Marshall. North Beach Grill will provide heavy hor doeuvres, and a cash bar will be available.

Tickets are $20 per person and are available through http://www.tybeedance.com or by calling 484-7355 or 786-0786.

Volunteers are still needed as well as items to be donated for a silent auction.

For more information, contact Sherry Montgomery, Trapping Coordinator for The Milton Project, at 912-228-3538.
