Coastal Pet Rescue Adopter Profile
Welcome to our adopter profile! We are excited you want to adopt a pet from us, and we want to help you make the best match possible.
We look forward to reviewing your profile and setting up a meet and greet with your match!
Before you begin: We are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization. There is no paid staff. We do not have someone available to monitor applications every minute of every day. As such, it will take a few hours until possibly the next day for a response. Some pets get more applications than others, so it may take us longer to get to all of those. If you are looking to pick up the pet the same day, that does not happen; our adoption process requires a veterinary reference check and home visit, and if your vet is closed, we have to wait until the next business day to call. Home visits are again done by volunteers, so your schedule and theirs must match for that to be arranged. All pets will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption; no exceptions.
Out of Area adoptions: As our process requires home visits for adoption, local applicants are given first priority. Our "local" area consists of Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, Liberty and Bulloch counties in Georgia; Bluffton, Hilton Head, and Beaufort in SC; and Jacksonville, FL. Adoptions outside of those areas will only be done if we are able to find another rescue representative to act on our behalf for the home visit. As such, we cannot guarantee that we can complete an adoption with you if you are not in one of our local areas. Coastal Pet Rescue does not under any circumstances ship pets.
