Foster Coordinator

Purpose:
At Coastal Pet Rescue, our mission is to change lives of homeless, abused and neglected animals in the Coastal Empire Savannah and Lowcountry South Carolina areas one at a time. We are looking for a few individuals who have about 10 hours a week to serve as a foster coordinator on the Islands area, one for Downtown/Midtown, and one for the Southside area. As a foster coordinator, you help us keep track of the foster homes, scheduling vet appointments, getting monthly supplies delivered, and assisting with adoptions. This is a fun way to get involved, meet new people, and help animals in need. You would typically be overseeing 5 to 10 foster families at a time.

Duties:

Conducting one-on-one orientation with new foster families
Maintaining quarterly paperwork for state requirements
Assisting in placing animals into foster homes
Coordinating foster parents to attend adoption events
Updating foster tracking for each pet

Skills:

This job is a volunteer position and does require you have your own transportation, phone and email access.

Time Commitment:
Average commitment is six to ten hours a week, more or less depending on how you structure your time and involvement.
