Change a Life as a Volunteer with Coastal Pet Rescue“Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” — Helen Keller You've long been told tis better to give than to receive, and you'll find no greater reward than from helping a homeless pet. Coastal Pet Rescue strives to provide multiple opportunities for individuals, families and groups to give their time and skills in the service of homeless pets. Camp Pawsawhile Retreat ShelterIn August 2014, CPR took over the lease of a hunting camp, converting the existing property and kennels into a small capacity animal shelter. Volunteers come in two shifts a day minimum to care for the animals in our four units, and youth volunteers are welcomed. Click here to learn more about Camp Pawsawhile. |
Foster ParentsCPR started out in 2003 as a foster home only organization. While we do now have a small capacity shelter, about 75% of our pets still reside in foster homes. These families take the time to provide care and socialization for the pets and help make them ready for adoption. CPR pays for all medical and supply expenses. Event VolunteersTwo to six times a month CPR hosts or participates in off-site adoption events. Volunteers are needed to help set up, handle animals, talk about CPR, solicit donations, and break down. Contact us to become an event volunteer. |
YouthCPR strongly believes that youth are the key to the continuing of animal welfare advocacy. Families and youth volunteers are encouraged and welcomed at our Camp Pawsawhile Retreat and adoption events. Click here for more information. |
ScoutsCPR's founder was a Girl Scout for eight years and now serves as a Den Leader for her son's Cub Scout pack. Scouts of any age are invited to do service projects or complete award and activity requirements. |
